CerebralQA is transforming the way people interpret and use information, with an AI inference system designed to make complex data instantly understandable. We spoke with founder Kwabena ‘Kobby’ Nuamah about how the University of Edinburgh’s Venture Builder Incubator has accelerated his research in Artificial Intelligence and opened new doors for his company’s growth.

Many decisions depend on how quickly people can make sense of the information available to them. Yet, data often loved in different places, comes from a variety of providers and oftentimes arrived in incompatible formats.
CerebralQA’s AI inference system bridges these gapsby bringing together multiple sources of information, breaking down user queries into smaller, manageable problems, and combining the results into clear, human-like solutions.
Kobby’s journey began with a career in software engineering before pursuing a PhD to deepen his expertise in Artificial Intelligence.
Kobby tells us:
I’ve always had an inclination to build things and solve problems.
It was natural, once I completed the PhD, to use my knowledge and skills to build software.
Shortly after finishing his studies, he applied to the Venture Builder Incubator, ready to turn his research into a real-world solution.
CerebralQA’s platform applies advanced AI to unite datasets and interpret them in a way that mirrors human reasoning. By breaking down complex questions into smaller, solvable components, then rebuilding these insights, the system delivers clear, actionable answers to the user’s initial query quickly.
For Kobby, the Venture Builder Incubator provided far more than business theory.
The experience gave him a 360-degree view of the UK’s startup ecosystem and the chance to connect with networks and experts who could shape the company’s future. He highlighted the benefit of the programmes access to the University’s academic and industry connections which brought CerebralQA into conversations with high-profile individuals who understood the problem they were solving.
“In research, it’s easy to abstract a problem into a simpler form by making assumptions that aren’t valid or realistic.”
Kobby notes:
Real-world applications often invalidate those assumptions. The Venture Builder Incubator gave me the ability to look at a problem from a user’s perspective and build technology that addresses the true problem.
Starting with a purely technical product, Kobby has found it rewarding to see interest from organisations eager to apply CerebralQA to their own challenges. Word-of-mouth recommendations from early conversations have reinforced that they are addressing real problems and creating tangible impact
It gives you confidence that you are solving real problems and making an impact on someone's life.
The current focus is on refining product–market fit by conducting extensive market validation and exploring practical use cases across multiple sectors, from education to investment analysis.
Kobby says:
The programme offers a lot of support and connects you with people to speak to at every step of the process, as well as guiding you towards financial support and how to access it.
By identifying the markets where the technology can make the most difference, CerebralQA is preparing to scale its reach and impact.
